Breast Reduction

Eliminate the challenges associated with large breasts.

Ask Dr. Taleisnik

A surgical procedure designed to remove skin, breast tissue, and fat from the breasts, making them lighter, firmer, and more perky.

A breast reduction is a surgical procedure designed to decrease the size and weight of the breasts. This can often reduce neck or back pain, and bra strap grooving of the shoulders. A breast reduction can also restore better body proportions, make it easier to exercise, and eliminate persistent rashes beneath the breasts.

A breast reduction also involves lifting the breasts, and usually decreases the size of the areolas to a more pleasing diameter.

Best Candidates

The best candidates for breast reduction are:

  • Women who have neck, back or shoulder pain
  • Women who have shoulder notching / furrowing from the bra strap
  • Women with heavy, sagging breasts
  • Women who have irritation or rashes beneath the breasts
  • Women who have difficulty with exercise and physical activities due to large heavy breasts
  • Women who have one breast that is larger than the other, creating a significant asymmetry

Benefits

Less back and neck pain

Large breasts can cause women to feel off-balance, which can weigh heavily on her back. The additional weight can cause chronic back issues and soreness.

Improved self-esteem

Patients feel better about their bodies, leading to a better quality of life with less depression and anxiety.

Easier breathing

Less weight on the chest makes it easier to breathe – thus making sleep, exercise, and other physical activities easier.

Fewer chronic headaches

A recent study showed that nearly 75% of patients undergoing breast reduction surgery experienced a reduction in headache frequency and severity.

Better sex

A higher self-esteem can lead to a more active sex life.

Clothes fit better
