Liposuction

Gain confidence and enhance your shape.

A surgical procedure designed to remove excess fat and flatten bulges. It is most effective for treatment of localized fat deposits, to improve shape and body contour, rather than for treatment of generalized obesity. Even fit patients who exercise and control their diet may have stubborn accumulations of fat that remain no matter what they do. Liposuction removes fat and fat cells, sculpting the body in a way that exercise alone sometimes cannot. Liposuction can be an especially excellent and gratifying solution for treating abdominal fat, love handles or prominent hips, rolls of tissue in the back near the bra strap, bulges on the inner or outer thighs, or prominence below the buttocks crease on the back of the thighs (“banana roll”).

One attractive benefit of liposuction is the minimal scarring. The fat is suctioned through very small incisions that can usually be hidden in natural skin creases, or placed in locations which can be easily hidden with most clothing, underwear or swimsuits.

Best Candidates

The best candidates for liposuction are:

  • Patients who want to look slimmer
  • Patients with bulges or rolls due to excess fat
  • Patients who want to shape or contour their bodies
  • Patients with love handles, flabby tummies, or "muffin tops"
  • Patients with thigh saddlebags or "banana rolls" beneath the butt
  • Patients with skin that is not overly loose or stretched

Techniques

Tumescent

Fat is pre-injected with a solution of salt water, local anesthetic and small amounts of adrenaline.

Ultrasound Assisted

A two-step procedure that uses ultrasound waves for energy, and liquefies the fat, which is then suctioned out.

Power Assisted

A tiny cannula is used to send off rapid vibrations to break up fat cells so that they can be easily suctioned out of the body.

5 Star Yelp Review

"I went to see Dr. Taleisnik back in July of 2014 I was referred to him by a friend. I was looking to remove some excessive fat around my abdomen and lower back. I use to be very large and had lost a lot of weight, but couldn't get several stubborn areas to disappear. I didn't know what to expect as this was my first real surgery. So while I have a few areas that I wanted to address, I kept it just to the stomach, obliques and lower back. He told me what he could do, and he was spot on. After two years, I kept the weight off, and I wanted to address the last areas on my body that I couldn't change through continued exercise and diet. I wanted to reduce the excessive fat on my inner thighs, upper back, and chest. I was still somewhat embarrassed to take my shirt off as I had man breast. After the surgery which seemed even easier than the first one I look and feel fantastic. I am still in the healing process at it has only been 10 weeks, but I love looking at how much my body has changed for the better. Thank you, Dr. Taleisnik and your staff. I have recommended Dr. Taleisnik to friends and family."
